Give as You Earn

This is a tax-efficient way of making donations to charities benefiting both the charity and the donor. The 3rd WW Group is a registered charity. However, to take advantage of Give As You Earn an employer must offer a scheme and an employee must be taxed through PAYE.

The Scout Group is registered with Give As You Earn with our unique reference being GYE 190536.

For example: If you pledge £10 from your gross salary each month it will only cost you £7.80, but the charity (Scout Group) receives £11 (the government adds an extra 10% to every gift you make for 2003/2004). For a higher rate taxpayer the saving is greater since the cost to the individual is £6.00, with the charity receiving as before £11.
