District DIY Day

This Saturday saw the second District run DIY day and what an amazing day it was too, each cub was given the chance to make either a bird box or pencil case. They were given the basic pieces of wood and then had to measure out and cut it to size themselves.

In total around 260 cubs visited our HQ and took part, they were given the opportunity to use a whole range of hand and power tools, including jigsaws, mitre saws, air-powered nail guns and cordless drills. Not to mention the super-sharp hand saws that they had to use for most of the cutting.

On behalf of the cubs, I would like to pass on a really big thank you to Paul and all the district team involved, your massive effort was really appreciated.
